National grid falls once again.


Nigeria’s power sector faced yet another major setback as the national electricity grid collapsed, plunging large portions of the country into darkness. The collapse happened unexpectedly, leaving millions without electricity. The national grid is managed by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), which has been working to stabilize the network, but frequent breakdowns have continued to disrupt power supply across the country.
